WEST Summit 2012 Please join us for workshops, expert panel discussions, a lively exposition and lunch in this day-long event. The goal of the WEST Summit is to catalyze a sea change in action towards long-term resiliency in Silicon Valley through the distributed management of our water and energy supply. We will explore the true costs of current and future climate impacts and the business opportunities that await those who address these challenges successfully.

WEST is a pivotal opportunity to build relationships with business and civic leaders who already are taking action on the buildings smart infrastructure for energy and water; and, finding new and better ways to use materials; and, to transform waste into resources for new products and services. Meet with pioneers who are leading global companies to adapt to the new climatic and economic era.

Participants will:

  • Discover solutions for regional resilience in water, energy and materials management and the advanced technologies that are leading the way
  • Understand how to apply the principles of industrial ecology to urban water cycles with a focus on the H2O/energy balance and economics
  • Connect with other organizations to energize conversations and begin to implement strategies for catalyzing systemic transformation
  • Learn insights and solutions from global, national and regional leaders
  • Explore sustainability-related products and services at the exposition
